Jayne Burkman has been fighting for social justice for over four decades. She earned a BA in Social Welfare at UC Berkeley, a JD at Notre Dame Law School, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management. Jayne has worked as a community planner & organizer, legislative advocate, political consultant, and health care advocate. From leading a task force to develop and fund a program for domestic violence survivors, to supervising a voter contact project for a Presidential candidate, to staffing free legal clinics for transgender individuals, Jayne takes pride in having the courage to care and the vision to make a difference. After specializing in health care law for 20 years at Legal Services of Northern California, the largest poverty law firm in the country, Jayne recently retired. She loves to garden, bake cookies, make jam, and support great causes like B Walker Ranch!
