B Walker Ranch is built on the generosity of others. An ever expanding village that emerges and provides the needs for the greater good.
It started out with a music video on autism awareness and over 3000 views, thanks to the voice over of Ed Begley, Jr. (thank you!) and the beautiful music of Randy and Quincy Coleman. The song convinces us that He really does have the whole world in His hands.
We picked up “OUR GUY” Jim Congdon of Congdon Construction and under his tutelage and expertise; he gave us great advice and kept us focused and moving the project in the right direction.
Dan Broadwater, Pres. of Napa Valley Electrical Union IBEW LU 180 enrolled Phil Pitcavage of Western Electric Inc and together they lit up B Walker Ranch.
Paul Friend of PFD Designs in Suisun Valley studied our run down 1892 stately and strong farmhouse; and transported it on paper back to its original glory with a few updated modern changes, like air conditioning! This will house our caretakers of the property.
The support of Jim Spearing , our District Supervisor and his office staff, have been a great support while the Solano County Planning Dept is holding our hands painlessly as we go thru the permit process.
Ruben with F & R Soil Percs. “We have 10 feet!” We never thought a septic system would look so beautiful on paper.
The people we have met so far such as John Piccolo, Laura of Vezer Vineyards, Ron Lanza and staff at the Wooden Valley Vineyard, Jonathan and Gabriella of the Napa Valley Grass Farmer, Kim and Ron at Green Valley Tractors , Budweiser, and the Suisun Valley Growers Association; they are the real heartbeat of the valley and a real treat to meet!
A special thanks to Gary and Jeff Andrews of Amos and Andrews Inc and the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union No. 343 AFL-CIO with Jerry Gramstead at the healm. They trenched lines and brought water to all corners of the property.
Umberto of Olivi Nursery donating 20-year-old olive trees that now line our beautiful fence line along Abernathy Road. Thank you…….
The well is up and running, the apple, apricot, pear and cherry orchards are producing, the climbing roses have been planted and baby pepper trees gently sway in the wind along the south west end of the property.
Congdon Construction cut, grated and packed the road with Syar Industries laying down a beautiful bed of rock meandering from the front of the property to the back.
Mike and Rene Rowland of Windermere Realty have given their personal time, energy and resources to cross over some of the hurdles and keep us moving forward.
Bob and Pete and the good people of Guild Mortgage have been instrumental in the past and look to the future with their Guiding light pointed toward an alpaca barn and more great barbecues.
Windermere Real Estate…thank you for choosing B Walker Ranch to be the recipient of your National Community Service Day for the second year in a row. What success having the Walnut Creek, Brentwood, Fairfield and El Sobrante offices join together. 85 volunteers strong all coming together with matching T-shirts. You painted the house, tended the gardens, weeded the fence line, repaired the road and completed other numerous chores. What a great day.
Chip and Nan sponsored the NRF (National Recreation Foundation) with a glorious grant that bought our cooking and nutrition program.A walk with Nan Davison ❤️
Thomas J. Long Foundation…. BWR thanks you for the grant building our gardens and greenhouse program. Soon the seedlings will be sprouting. A season for change.
Steve at Jopari Inc. You rock with your out reach and financial support.
